Of the four gold celestial items I got, only one of them was non-max, one shield which was at 14 AL. The others had max stats & [mostly] max mods. The chests in that area are real bad about dropping non-max stuff, gold or not. So I suggest only using keys that the Vermin drop.

I never farm there for the green. I have had it drop 7 times roughly 25% I have a TOUGH time even selling that item. I kept one in storage just to have one but what I have found is the drops are really never great. Even running the chests is very poor for me. I think one gold drop in probably 20 but it was a very nice bow. Luckily I never buy keys I have always had good luck of them dropping from vermin. Usually I get some piece of crap dagger worth 40 gp The way I make money is from the gold, hides and I have also had great luck salavaging the scepters and the staves into steel. I have over 100 pieces of steel from just a few farm runs. It will come in handy for my Kurzick 15K. I like this run because it is short and quick to do. You can clear the area in 10 minutes and be back in town for more. Once in awhile I get some dyes, nothing major but fortunately I was dying armour green and I got three greens from there so it saved me some money. Probably not the most profitable area but it is quick and easy.

I probably just lowered the price on scales

or u could do the smart thing and notice the collector u run by on this farm and make 125 gold on 5 hides...wich is more then double ur 100 gold for for 10 since every 10 i have im making 250...srry if that sounded rude...its getting kinda late im kinda cranky

That is only 25g more than merchanting though, 250 vermin hides salvaging to scales and selling to trader is 6k profit.

Yeah, salvaging the hides is much more profitable.

10 hides = 2 collector items = 250g
or
10 hides salvaged = 50 scales = around 500g (depending on value at the time)

2x the amount. Highly suggested, at least until scales severely drop in price.

I guess if you like it nice and slow use that ^^

Well ive never had anything better than a 13>50 rams hammer in a year playing guild wars (ive made 10X more trading than farming) so gold drops in the game dont conern me. All i look for is most items and gold in shortest amount of time, and this is a great one.

I love this run. I get some gold celestial drops from vermin, but i bring 2 canthan keys with me and i check the chests. Almost everytime i get a gold celestial weapon. Some are max, but most are near perfect. And salvaging the hides for scales is choice.

Gladiator's Defense and Sliver Armor are great combined together... You can think up the rest.

You could take balthazars aura for energy management and/or bonnetis defence (charges instantly after cyclone axe) this allows you to use as much cyclone axes as possible without getting a zealous mod.

I use a Rt/Me Vengeful build for farming these guys. Works really well and real quick.

Vengeful was Khankei
Vengeful Weapon
Soothing Memories
Arcane Echo
Ancestral Visage
Sympathetic Visage
Physical Resistance
Channeling

Gather up all the vermin in the end patrol and have some fun. Just cast Physical, Channeling, Ancestral and Arcane before going in. Can take out the entire group in two rounds of Vengeful was Khankei usually.

Same build as I use too for my Rit. I do the run, kill all the vermin up to the portal, then go through the portal and trade some vermin hides for Salvage or ID kits from the collector, then back through the portal and muller all the vermin again. I generally keep all the hides I dont trade above and the rest of the drops I sell to the merchant.

I almost always make about 3K. Very worth while seeing as it only takes around 20 minutes.

I usually just id and sell to merchant.

They do drop a lot of Koi Scepters which salvages to iron or steel (using a sup. salvage kit). I tend to farm them when I need iron or steel for armor.
